CHARLOTTE — It’s a busy afternoon in the kitchen at 820 in Charlotte.
It isn’t your typical restaurant though, offering pizzas made with believe it or not, fruits and veggies.
Co-owner Kara Taddeo was inspired to do the pizza after a homework assignment. “We offer cauliflower crust pizza here. It’s gluten-free, flourless, and it is riced cauliflower. You have to try it to believe it. I swear it’s delicious. It was a homework assignment from my nutritionist a few years ago who said ‘go home and make this cauliflower crust pizza,’ and that is where the madness started,” said Taddeo.
